DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Beyond Performance is seeking a stellar and dynamic full-time Director of Sales and New Business Development to generate new business opportunities for a growing and leading Destination & Meeting Management company. Passionate and full of life, enthusiasm and endless energy, this person will be responsible for managing the sales cycle, leading multiple sales efforts concurrently and be responsible for lead generation, prospecting, qualifying, proposing, and closing new projects and services. Key account management and planning activities include online and offline client meetings, sales calls, telemarketing, reporting and frequent follow up calls to leads and uncovering new business opportunities. The Director of Sales reports to the Vice President.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Generate new business to fulfill company growth and revenue goals according to agreed upon quota.
  2. Assist in the development of strategic direction and targeting of potential clients
  3. Creates and bonds with pitch to present to potential clients
  4. Attend industry events and conferences on behalf of company
  5. Quarterly visits and establishes presentations to new potential clients in U.S. Territory and well as Puerto Rico with power point and audio visual projection
  6. Obtain, qualify and present to customer opportunities in both the United States and Puerto Rico
  7. Work with other Directors to ensure maximum effectiveness
  8. Ensure maximum sales volume of an organization's services
  9. Keeps on top of Industry latest trends, technologies, styles and implements them into action.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Sales experience and a proven and consistent track record of meeting and exceeding quotas is preferred.
  2. Background in the marketing or advertising industry or comparable destination management field, meetings and conventions, audio visual, public relations, sports management, style, cutting edge décor design, and or entertainment marketing industry is preferred.
  3. Excellent communication, presentation and sales skills
  4. Someone who can get results while working well in a team environment
  5. Familiarity with and insight into our markets is preferred
  6. Post-graduate business or sales qualification a plus and or post-graduate from The George Washington University School of Business, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management a great plus.

COMPENSATION:

Compensation includes base salary and sales incentives $100,000.00 yearly plus, plus, plus.
